1.Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Glam Asia platform (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. "Glam Asia", "we", "us" and "our" refer to GLAM UP EMPIRE (M) SDN BHD, a company incorporated in Malaysia.
2.What the Platform does
Glam Asia is a marketplace that connects customers seeking beauty and wellness services ("Customers") with salons, spas, and independent beauty professionals ("Providers"). Services offered through the Platform include, among others, hair, nails, skin, spa, massage, eyebrow, and makeup treatments — at the Provider's premises or, where offered, as home service.
Glam Asia facilitates discovery, booking, communication, and payment between Customers and Providers. The beauty services themselves are performed by Providers, not by Glam Asia. Each booking creates a direct service arrangement between the Customer and the Provider.
3.Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) to create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it updated;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account;
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, breach these terms, or misuse the Platform.
4.Bookings, cancellations, and no-shows
When you place a booking, you make a commitment to the Provider for the selected service, date, and time. Booking confirmations, changes, and cancellations are managed in the app.
- Please arrive on time. Providers may treat significant late arrivals as no-shows;
- Cancellation windows and any applicable cancellation or no-show charges are shown at the time of booking and may vary by Provider;
- Providers may need to reschedule or cancel a booking due to circumstances on their side — where this happens, you will be notified through the app and any amounts paid for the affected booking will be refunded or re-credited;
- Repeated no-shows or abusive cancellation behaviour may lead to account restrictions.
5.Prices, payments, and refunds
Prices for services are set by each Provider and shown in the app before you confirm a booking. Depending on the Provider and service, payment may be made through the Platform (including card payments and wallet balance) or directly to the Provider at the venue.
- All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) unless stated otherwise;
- Where the Platform holds a wallet balance or issues loyalty points or promotional credits, these have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire or be adjusted in accordance with the applicable promotion terms;
- Refunds for services paid through the Platform are processed to your original payment method or wallet, subject to the cancellation terms of the booking;
- Disputes about the quality of a performed service should first be raised with the Provider; we may assist in mediating but are not obliged to issue refunds for services rendered by Providers.
6.Terms for Providers
If you register a salon or list services as a Provider, you additionally agree that you will:
- Hold all licences, permits, and qualifications required to lawfully offer your services in Malaysia;
- Ensure your listing — services, prices, durations, photos, staff, awards, and opening hours — is accurate and kept up to date;
- Honour confirmed bookings and maintain a professional standard of service, hygiene, and safety;
- Use the in-app tools (including bookings management, staff management, point-of-sale, earnings reports, and promotions) only for legitimate business purposes;
- Pay any applicable platform fees or commissions that are communicated to you as part of your Provider agreement — these, together with payout schedules, are set out in your Provider onboarding terms;
- Not attempt to move bookings off-platform to avoid platform fees.
We may remove listings, withhold visibility, or suspend Provider accounts that receive repeated verified complaints, misrepresent their services, or breach these terms.
7.Reviews, chat, and user content
The Platform lets you post reviews, ratings, photos, and messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use it for operating and promoting the Platform.
You agree not to post content that is false or misleading, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, infringing, or otherwise unlawful. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the Provider. We may moderate, edit, or remove User Content that breaches these terms, and in-app chat must not be used for harassment, spam, or unlawful activity.
8.Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law of Malaysia;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, or other users' accounts;
- Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Platform, or reverse engineer any part of it;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or create accounts by automated means;
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited marketing or spam.
9.Intellectual property
The Platform — including the GLAM name and logo, app design, website, text, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to GLAM UP EMPIRE (M) SDN BHD and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Platform as intended, no rights are granted to you. Provider names, logos, and photos remain the property of their respective owners.
10.Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the Platform you consent to that processing in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
11.Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep the Platform reliable and accurate, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing information supplied by Providers is complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- Glam Asia is not a party to, and is not responsible for, the performance of beauty services by Providers, including their quality, safety, or outcomes;
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform;
- Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the amounts you paid through the Platform in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12.Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — with notice where practicable — if you breach these terms, misuse the Platform, or where required by law. Sections concerning intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive termination.
13.Changes to the Platform and these terms
We continuously improve the Platform and may add, change, or remove features. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or website, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
